God has a job for you to do!

That is a fact.

It says in Ephesians 2:10 that God prepared good works for us to do before we were even born! God has a job for you to do, no matter how small you feel you are.

Perhaps you are already doing your job without even realising it!

Everybody can have a job of encouraging other Christians – that means helping them to want to keep going! How could you encourage the people who run your youth group, or who you meet in church?

You could say thank you, you could help to tidy up after the meeting, or you could just smile and be happy! People find that very encouraging.

Ask God how you can help him.

Dear God,
Thank you for creating the Church to help other Christians.
Please help me to feel that I am an important part of the Church,
and to do the job in the Church that you want me to do.
Help me to remember to encourage other people and help them to do what you have asked them to do too.
Amen.
